With the school records on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards,
Cydney Liebenberg has become the best diver in UIC history. On Friday, she staked her claim to the best diver in Horizon League annals.
Liebenberg won the 1-meter championship for the third time in four conference championship appearances. Coupled with four titles on the 3-meter board, her seven overall diving crowns tied the individual record.
Lilly Culp and
Taira Juronis joined Liebenberg with podium finishes on Day 3 of the league championship. Combined with a second-place relay finish, the Flames women cemented their hold on fourth place and narrowed the gap with third place IUPUI.
UIC's men ended the day in fifth place with one day of competition remaining.

Liebenberg shook off a second-place showing in the prelims and dominated the final round. She counted a score of 8.0 on one dive, and totaled 308.80 – just two-tenths off her season high. No diver came within 20 points of her in the finals.

Culp finished on the 100 fly podium for the third time in as many conference appearances. Her closing burst pushed her into third place with a time of 55.04.

Juronis achieved the first individual podium finish of her career in the 100 breast. Her final time of 1:03.04 was a career best.
The conference championships will conclude Saturday.
