CHICAGO -- UIC will close out the regular season with a pair of home games, starting Thursday (Feb. 24) against Green Bay. Tip-off inside Credit Union 1 Arena is slated for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
OPENING TIP

Damaria Franklin and
Zion Griffin lifted the Flames to an overtime victory over Robert Morris on Feb. 19. Franklin poured in a career-best 28 points while Griffin added career-highs in points (27) and rebounds (10) to tally his first collegiate double-double.

Jace Carter was tabbed as the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Feb. 21 following a standout week for the Flames. Carter scored 10 or more points in all three contests, including a season-high 17 at Youngstown State to become the first Flame since Tarkus Ferguson (Feb. 27, 2017) to earn the weekly honor.

Kevin Johnson and
Jalen Warren rank second and eighth, respectively, in assist-to-turnover ratio among all Horizon League players. Johnson's rate is 2.28 with Warren at 1.95.
MATCHUP BREAKDOWN
• UIC is looking to secure the series sweep of the Phoenix after claiming an 80-63 victory on the road on Jan. 15.
• A victory by the Flames would mark the first regular season sweep of UIC over Green Bay since the 2017-18 season when UIC picked up 84-73 and 83-75 victories at home and on the road, respectively.
• The Phoenix enter the contest 4-23 on the year and 3-15 in Horizon League play.

JOHNSON STUNS VIKINGS IN UPSET

Kevin Johnson's late heroics lifted UIC to an upset road win at league-leading Cleveland State on Feb. 10.Â
• Johnson hit a pull-up jumper from the free throw line with 1.8 left in the game, sealing UIC's thrilling 76-75 win over the Vikings.
• The Flames, who trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half, never led until
Michael Diggins' jumper with 1:07 remaining in the contest. After Cleveland State regained the lead with three straight points, the stage was set for Johnson's game-winner.
• Johnson's game-winning bucket came on the same day that the graduate student was celebrating his 23rd birthday.
MIX IT UP
• The Flames haven't been afraid to mix up their starting lineup this year, using a total of 11 different lineups through 25 games.
• UIC went through a seven-game stretch where the team deployed seven different starting lineups.
