UIC Women's Soccer will get its first look at live competition Monday afternoon, when the Flames visit Toledo in the first of three preseason exhibition matches.

While the Flames return all of their goal scoring from last season, along with eight of 11 starters, a large freshman class has been making a push for playing time.  David Nikolic and his staff will surely use the preseason to mix and match lineups in search of the best combinations for the August 18 opener. 

Competition between the team's returning goalkeepers is likely to be spirited as well.  Sara Sanabria and Lauren Keiser each started one match at the end of last season, but the issue of who will replace Lena Kurz on a full-time basis is far from settled.

Toledo was 10-6-4 overall last year.  They return 24 members of that team, including the MAC Freshman of the Year.

Monday's match will start at 3:00 p.m. Central time.  There will be no live coverage.
