CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team opened the home portion of its schedule Saturday afternoon, as it welcomed Bowling Green to the XS Tennis Village. After securing the point in doubles competition, the Flames would pull away in singles competition to earn a 6-1 victory.
 
Natalia Nikolopoulou earned a victory in doubles beside Agnes Gustafsson (7-5) before securing a singles victory over Maru Poppe (6-3, 6-2). Ana Jover also won her singles match (6-3, 3-6, 6-4) after helping the Flames secure the doubles point with partner Zara Ryan over BSGU's Poppe and Letica Fonseca (6-3).
 
The Flames will return to action tomorrow, as they head to South Bend, Ind. to take on Notre Dame. First serve against the Fighting Irish is set for 3:00 p.m. CT.
