CHICAGO (Oct. 11, 2023) – The UIC men's basketball team has been selected for at least 18 broadcast appearances during the 2023-24 season through a combination of coverage on ESPN networks and other outlets, it was announced Wednesday.
Up to seven of the Flames' Missouri Valley Conference games will air on ESPN networks, including two that will be broadcast digitally as part of The Valley on ESPN package — Feb. 11 at home vs. UNI (3 p.m. CT) and Feb. 14 at Bradley (7 p.m.).
Five other UIC basketball games have been included as potential wildcard selections through the MVC's agreement with ESPN this season. The conference and network will determine 14 days prior to each wildcard date which MVC matchup will air on ESPN2 or ESPNU, with the remaining conference games airing on a different platform.
The five wildcard TV games for the Flames this season are on Jan. 27 (at Belmont), Feb. 3 (home vs. Southern Illinois), Feb. 18 (home vs. Belmont), Feb. 24 (at Indiana State) and March 3 (at Missouri State).
Season tickets, as well as flexible ticket plans and single-game tickets for UIC men's basketball are now on sale by going online to

UIC will debut a talented roster in 2023-24, including nine new players and seven significant returners. A pair of starters — senior guard
Toby Okani (11.0 ppg., 7.1 rpg.) and junior forward
Filip Skobalj (7.7 ppg., team-high 61 three-pointers) — headline the returning Flames, while graduate student guard (and Chicago native)
Marquise Kennedy leads a dynamic incoming class that features six transfers.
The MVC also announced Wednesday that ESPN+ will carry the four opening-round contests and four quarterfinals from the 2024 State Farm MVC Men's Basketball Tournament, uniquely known as Arch Madness, on March 7 and 8 from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
In addition, UIC learned Wednesday it will have one of its top local rivalry games televised across Chicagoland and throughout the surrounding region when the Flames visit Loyola on Nov. 14. The 61
st meeting in the crosstown series (which is deadlocked 30-30) will tip off at 7 p.m. from Gentile Arena in Rogers Park and can be seen live on NBC Sports Chicago.
At least nine other UIC games will be streamed on various platforms, including all six of the Flames' home non-conference games on ESPN+, as well as their Nov. 6 season opener at Cincinnati (8 p.m.). UIC will also see all three of its games at the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship in the Bahamas streamed on FloSports, starting Nov. 24 with the Flames' matchup against Middle Tennessee (3:30 p.m.).
UIC may make further broadcast appearances as the MVC announces the remainder of its television package and opponents finalized their television schedules. Updated information will appear as it becomes available on the official men's basketball schedule page at
UICFlames.com.
