CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team returns to home action this weekend, opening up a two-match homestand against Butler Saturday.

The Flames came out victorious to close out competition last weekend, defeating North Dakota in a neutral-site match in Milwaukee, Wisc. on Saturday.

DOUBLES
- Natalia Nikolopolou, paired with Cora-Lynn von Dungern, earned the first victory for the Flames in the number two doubles spot. The pair earned a convincing 6-1 victory over North Dakota's Nore Heinitz and Andrea Jansson.
- Agnes Gustafsson, paired with Tamara Malazonia, clinched the doubles point for UIC with a 7-5 tie-breaker victory.

SINGLES
- Lea Forste-Dinell earned the first singles point for the Flames, after the Fighting Hawks tied the overall match with a victory in the number two slot. Forste-Dinell won in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
- Paula Rodriguez Gregoris put UIC ahead again overall with her victory in the number six position, beating North Dakota's Angela Georgieva 7-6, 6-1.
- Cora-Lynn von Dungern secured the overall victory, winning her number four slot match in tight fashion, 7-6, 6-4.

Saturday's match will be the first of two straight home matches for the Flames, and is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. CT.
