CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team will put its two-match winning streak on the line this week, as it will host cross-town Chicago State at XS Tennis Village Wednesday morning before traveling to Marquette Saturday.

DOUBLES
- Natalia Nikolopolou and Cora-Lynn von Dungern got the Flames off to a quick start in the number two doubles slot, winning their match comfortably 6-2.
- After being up 5-2 in the number one slot, Agnes Gustafsson and Tamara Malazonia dropped their match by a 7-6 final in a tie-break.
- The Bulldogs secured the doubles point with a 6-4 victory in the number three spot.

SINGLES
- Nikolopolou continued her strong play in singles, opening the format with an efficient 6-2, 6-3 victory.
- Agnes Gustafsson bounced back from a doubles loss to win her number one singles match 6-3, 6-3.
- Malazonia also recovered well from her doubles loss to put UIC up 3-1 with a 6-4, 6-1 win in the number two spot.
- After the Bulldogs tied the match with victories in the four and six spots, Lea Forste-Dinell secured the overall victory with a thrilling 6-3, 7-5 tie-break win in the five spot.

DYNAMIC DUO
- The doubles team of Ana Jover and Agnes Gustafsson has been a force to be reckoned with this season, holding a 7-2 overall record in doubles competition.

Wednesday's match at XS Tennis Village is free to attend, and is set for a 10:00 a.m. CT first serve. Saturday's contest at Marquette in Milwaukee will begin at 11:00 a.m.
