INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – UIC men's tennis is set to play Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis on Friday. It will be the Flames' last non-conference match before getting into Southland Conference play.
The Flames recently traveled north to take on Big Ten foe, Northwestern. The Flames were held 4-0 by the Wildcats, who are ranked 13th in the nation. However, doubles pair
Aleksa Bucan and
Ammar Wazir were able to collect a 6-3 victory over their opponents.
Miroslav Cvjetan and
Artem Iermolov lost their match at the very end by a small margin (7-5). In singles, Pelle Standberg was up a set before play was stopped.
On Friday, UIC should match up nicely against the Jaguars (2-11). They are coming off a 1-6 loss to Ball State.
