CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UIC women's tennis team (7-7) earned their first Missouri Valley Conference win on Sunday. UIC defeated UNI 6-1, winning the doubles point and all but one singles match.
The Flames went on an Iowa tour this weekend, playing Drake and UNI. The first stop was Drake, who is one of the top teams in the MVC. The Flames fell 2-5 against the Bulldogs.

Paula Rodriguez Gregoris outscored their opponents in singles.

- Agnes Gustafsson opened up singles beating her opponent 6-3, 6-2.
- Matchup three ended with a 6-1, 6-3 win from Natalia Nikolopoulou.
- Cora-Lynn von Dungern echoed that effort with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 win over her opponent.
- Tamara Malazonia was at the wrong end of a 6-2, 7-6, 9-7, 12-10 final. Malazonia won the tie breaker, and came up short in the super breaker.
- Paula Rodriguez Gregoris continued to push the Flames to victory, outscoring the Panthers 6-0, 5-7, 10-8.
- Lea Forste-Dinell closed out for UIC with dominating 6-1, 6-3 finish.
