VALPARAISO, Ind. – The UIC women's tennis team (7-7, 1-1 MVC) is preparing for a Missouri Valley Conference matchup against Valparaiso (9-4, 0-2 MVC) on Sunday.

NEW KIDS ON THE COURT
The Flames are off to a good start their first year in the Missouri Valley Conference, as they currently rank fifth in standings. So far in conference play, UIC dominated Northern Iowa and fell to Drake, a top team in the conference.

SCOUTING VALPO
UIC's and Valpo's history dates back to 2008, and UIC has won every single time the two teams have played. The record stands at 13-0, with the last time they played being in 2020. UIC shutout Valpo 7-0 at least nine times they faced off.

The Beacons sit second to last in conference standings, with two losses to Murray State and Belmont. However, Valpo's roster contains the MVC Player of the Year, Olivia Czerwonka and MVC Flight 2 singles champ Moira Silva.
