CHICAGO (Sept. 4, 2023) – The UIC men's soccer team (2-0-1) is set for a match-up with Big Ten foe Wisconsin (3-0-0) on Monday, as the Flames welcome the Badgers to Chicago for the first time since 2009.

FLAMES FACTS
  • The Flames enter Monday night's match following a Friday draw in the third of four straight home matches to open the regular season.
  • After Joshua Torres' match-opening goal just three minutes in against Oakland Friday, the Flames allowed two consecutive Golden Grizzlies goals before Sidney Warden netted the equalizer in the 74th minute to earn a 2-2 draw.
  • UIC averages nearly three goals scored per match through the first three contests, while surrendering only three total goals in those same matches.
  • Sidney Warden leads the way offensively for UIC, with a team-leading three goals with just two starts. Joshua Torres and Andres Lemus are tied for second on the team in scoring with two goals each.

SCOUTING WISCONSIN

  • Wisconsin comes to Chicago with an undefeated 3-0-0 record, with victories over Purdue Fort Wayne, as well as Missouri Valley Conference foe Drake.
  • Averaging just over a goal per match, the Badgers rely heavily on their defense, which has yet to surrender a goal in its three victories on the year.
