Flames Falter in Conference Clash at Evansville

Men’s Soccer drops a 3-1 road contest against the Purple Aces Saturday night

Box Score EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Oct. 12, 2024) – The UIC men's soccer program (6-5, 2-2 MVC) dropped its first Missouri Valley Conference road match of the season Saturday night as the Flames fell 3-1 to Evansville (6-5-1, 2-2 MVC) at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
 
After the two teams traded own goals in the first half, the Purple Aces took the lead following a goal in the 48th minute and added a third in the 61st minute. The Flames outshot the Purple Aces 14 to 9 in Saturday's contest with eight shots on goal, while junior goalkeeper Kevin Dabrowski (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) had two saves in net for UIC.
