CHICAGO (Oct. 17, 2024) – The UIC men's soccer team (6-5, 2-2 MVC) returns to Flames Field this Friday for a prime-time matchup against Belmont (3-7-3, 0-4-1 MVC) under the lights. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT, with live coverage on ESPN+. Admission is free for all attendees, and live stats will be available on the team's schedule page.

FLAMES FACTS

Entering Friday's match with a 3-2 record over their last five matches, the Flames aim to solidify their position in the highly competitive Missouri Valley Conference, where they currently sit fifth. With four MVC matches remaining, UIC will be focused on securing a top-six finish to qualify for the Missouri Valley Men's Soccer Championships, which begin on Nov. 10.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Kevin Dabrowski (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) has been reliable in the Flames' last six matches, posting a 4-2 record and making eight crucial saves.

SERIES HISTORY

UIC and Belmont have faced off nine times before, with the Flames holding a commanding 7-1-1 series lead. The teams last met in a Missouri Valley Conference Championship quarterfinal last season, where UIC defeated Belmont 2-1 at home to advance to the semifinals in Kalamazoo, Mich.
