Scouting Belmont
  • This will be the Flames' sixth matchup with the Bruins, with the Flames leading the series 4-1 all time.
  • The Bruins are on a three-match losing streak coming into this game.
  • Currently in ninth place in the Missouri-Valley Conference, a win this Friday would greatly increase their chances of an MVC tournament appearance.
  • Redshirt-Junior middle blocker Bella Mathis has had a strong season for the Bruins ranking in the top-five of the MVC in hitting percentage at .302

Scouting Murray State
  • The Racers will be coming off of a match versus Valparaiso the night before taking on the Flames on Saturday.
  • At 4-3 in conference play, the matchup could be an early preview of a possible MVC tournament matchup.
  • Junior outside hitter Ella Vogel comes into the match at no. 3 in the MVC in kills per set, and had fourteen kills last time out versus UNI.

Last Time Out - Missouri State
  • The UIC volleyball team got off to a hot start and never looked back against Missouri State last Saturday.
  • Graduate student Zahria Woodard (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest) set the tone defensively tallying 9 blocks over the three sets.
  • Sophomore Gabi Peter (Gilberts, Ill./Hampshire High School) recorded her second straight double-digit kill performance, leading the team with 10.
