CHICAGO (Oct. 25, 2024) – The UIC men's soccer team (6-7, 2-3 MVC) returns to Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) action this weekend as they travel to Des Moines, Iowa, for a pivotal matchup against the Drake Bulldogs (7-3-3, 3-0-2 MVC) on Saturday night.

UIC will aim to get back on track this Saturday, seeking to improve their record to 3-2 in their last five MVC contests with a win over Drake. Defense has been a key factor in the Flames' performance this season, with the team boasting a 4-2 record in matches where they have held their opponents to fewer than two goals. In contrast, the Flames are 0-5 when conceding the first goal.

Historically, UIC holds a narrow 6-5 edge in the all-time series against Drake. In their most recent meeting on Sept. 23, 2023, the Flames dominated with a commanding 4-0 victory at home in Chicago.
