CHICAGO (Nov. 14, 2024) – The UIC volleyball team (18-9, 10-5 MVC) returns to Credit Union 1 Arena for the final time during the 2024 season to host Evansville (6-21, 5-10 MVC) and Indiana State (4-23, 1-14 MVC) this weekend for more Missouri Valley Conference play.
Each match will be available to stream on ESPN+ with live stats available on
UICFlames.com. Admission is free to the public, with doors opening an hour before first serve.

LAST WEEKEND RECAP – AT NORTHERN IOWA/DRAKE
- The Flames couldn't find their momentum on the road this past weekend, snapping a four-match win streak after falling to Northern Iowa (20-7, 15-0 MVC) and Drake (18-8, 14-1 MVC).
- Junior Cleo Lorenzo (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Elite) tallied 18 kills over the seven sets played across the weekend.
- Freshman Antonie Kelnárová (Prague, Czech Republic) collected 14 kills and 10 digs against the Bulldogs.
LAST TIME VERSUS EVANSVILLE – SEPT. 28
- The Flames fended off the Aces on the road at Meeks Family Fieldhouse on Sept. 28 in a 3-1 victory.
- Graduate student Zahria Woodard (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest) led the attack for the Flames, collecting 13 kills and five total blocks.
- Lorenzo tallied a dozen kills and junior Ayat Amin (Cairo, Egypt/ Al Waha International School) collected 11 kills in the win.
- Junior setter Francesca Venturini (Bergamo, Italy/Liceo Classico Paolo Sarpi) was strong from the service line, collecting a season-high seven service aces.
LAST TIME VERSUS INDIANA STATE – SEPT. 27
- Opening up MVC play, the Flames collected their first of five conference sweeps, taking three consecutive sets over the Sycamores at the Hulman Center on Sept. 27.
- The Flames were led on the attack by Kelnárová, who collected 13 kills, a pair of service aces and a block.
- Sophomore libero Hannah Howard (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Ursula Academy/Eastern Michigan) collected a pair of service aces and 12 digs in the win.
- The Flames finished with a .302 hitting percentage, one of eight clips collected by the team this season above the .300 mark.
