VALPARAISO, Ind. (Nov. 19, 2024) – The UIC volleyball team (21-9, 13-5 MVC) went toe-to-toe Tuesday night on the road against Valparaiso (17-13, 9-9 MVC) at the Athletics-Recreation Center, walking out with a five-set victory to close out Missouri Valley Conference play.
Sophomore
Gabi Peter (Gilbert, Ill./Hampshire) led the Flames' attack with a collegiate high 17 kills, six total blocks and four digs. Graduate student
Zahria Woodard (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park and River Forest) collected 16 kills and six total blocks. Freshman
Antonie
Kelnárová (Prague, Czech Republic) tallied 11 kills and 16 digs in the win.

- Peter surpasses her collegiate in kills, back on Oct. 14 when she tallied 14 kills in a road-victory at Belmont.
- UIC tallied 69 collective kills in the win, tying its mark set on Nov. 2 in the five-set win over Missouri State on the road.
- The Flames extend their win streak over the Beacons to seven matches in a row since joining the MVC in July 2022.
POSTSEASON AHEAD!
- For the third consecutive season, the Flames earned the No. 3 seed in this year's Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Championship.
- The tournament will be taking place on the campus of Northern Iowa, at the McCleod Center from Nov. 23-26.
