SCOUTING WISCONSIN
- This will be the 20th time these two programs will meet on the hardwood, and the first time competing since Dec 21,2013. Wisconsin holds a 13-6 overall series lead.
- In their last meeting, the Flames won on a game-winning three pointer from UIC alumni Rachel Story with 20 seconds left in the game to walk out of the UW Fieldhouse with a 58-56 victory. Story led the Flames with 25 points that game, collecting UIC's first victory over Wisconsin in 34 seasons (1980-81).
- After a WNIT Quarterfinals appearance a season ago, the Badgers are off to a 3-1 start to the season with wins over Wright State, Georgetown and most recently an 82-45 victory over Milwaukee at home on Sunday.
- Junior Serah Williams has been an offensive threat for the Badgers this season, having scored in double figures in each game, including 29 points in the 95-68 win over Wright State on Nov. 5. Averaging 19.8 points per game, the forward is the fifth best scorer in the Big Ten Conference.
LAST GAME RECAP – vs. Green Bay
- The Flames fell short to Green Bay in the closing seconds on Nov. 13 in front of a home crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena, 74-71.
- Senior Makiyah Williams (Chicago, Ill./Trinity/Marquette) scored a team-high 25 points shooting 57.1% from the field.
- Graduate student Sara Zabrecky (Munster, Ind./Munster/St. John's) sank three three-pointers enroute to 11 points.
- The Flames made a collective 11 three-pointers, tying a team-high under third-year head coach Ashleen Bracey. The last time the Flames made 11 three-pointers was in a 63-55 victory over Davidson on Nov. 22, 2022.
