SYCAMORE, Ill. (March 30, 2024) – The UIC men's tennis program (9-8, 1-5 MAC) dropped a 6-1 conference match on the road at Northern Illinois (16-3, 5-1 MAC) Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore
Robinson Le Meur (Evreux, France/Sciences Po Bordeaux) was victorious for the Flames, winning his match at No. 2 singles.

MATCH RECAP
- The Huskies won the doubles point, with victories at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles. The Flames trailed 5-4 at No. 3 doubles, but the match went unfinished due to NIU already winning the doubles point.
- Competing at No. 2 singles for the second time this season, Le Meur defeated Northern Illinois' Mikael Vollbach in straight sets (6-4, 6-3). With his victory Le Meur has a team-high 11 singles wins this season. The sophomore has won three matches in a row and seven of his last ten matches.
- NIU won the other five singles matches to secure the 6-1 victory.
- All six of Saturday's singles matches were decided in straight sets.

UP NEXT
- The Flames continue its three-match road swing with a road contest next Friday at Toledo.
- The Rockets are currently 8-10 on the season and 3-3 in conference play. Toledo lost to Ball State 4-3 in its last match.
- This will be the second of two meetings this season between UIC and Toledo. The Flames fell 4-3 to the Rockets in their first meeting on March 22.
