TOLEDO, Ohio (April 5, 2024) – The UIC men's tennis program (9-9, 1-6 MAC) dropped a 6-1 contest to Toledo (10-10, 5-3 MAC) Friday afternoon at the Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
Sophomore
Elliott Dam (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) won his match at No. 6 singles for the Flames in Friday's loss.
COMMENT FROM HEAD COACH JOVAN PARLIC??????
"It was a close competition this afternoon with three singles matches going to a third set and we also had a close doubles point. Elliott improved a lot this year and today was a great win for him. He is one of the hardest workers in college tennis."
MATCH RECAP
- The Rockets won the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. The match at No. 3 doubles went unfinished due to Toledo securing the doubles point.
- Competing at No. 6 singles, Dam won his third match of the season, defeating Toledo's Charlie Snow in three sets (2-6, 6-2, 6-3).
