FLAMES FACTS
- This is the second fall in a row UIC will compete in an event in the Brittany Kelly Classic. Last year the Flames finished second in the team standings (+25). Recent graduate Dasa Urbankova (Brno, Czech Republic/Menlo College) set the program record for lowest round under par, shooting a -4 (68) en route to claiming the individual title.
- Senior Lia Thomas (Michigan City, Ind./Michigan City) hit the only hole in one in school history last year on the thirteenth hole at the Brittany Kelly Classic.
- This is the second of five events for the Flames in the coming months. They are slated to compete in the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind., the Loyola Parkinson Invitational in Libertyville, Ill. and the Braun Intercollegiate in Evansville, Ind.
2024 POINT O'WOODS WOMEN'S COLLEGIATE RECAP
- The Flames opened their 2024 campaign finishing first (+11) at the 2024 Point O'Woods Women's Collegiate.
- Junior Ellie McDonald (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) secured her first career collegiate individual win, shooting a 73 on a Par-74 course.
- Freshmen Alejandra Ereño (Madrid, Spain/Colegio Nuestra Senora del Recuerdo) placed second (+1) in her first collegiate event.
- Freshman Camille Rosier (Paris, France/Lycee International C. De Gaulle) tied for third (+2) in their first collegiate competition.
- Junior Chaewon Jeong (Seoul, South Korea/Laurel Springs School) finished fifth (+3), the highest individual finish in her collegiate career, medaling in the event.
- Second-year head coach Angela Rayhill secured her second career tournament win as the Flames Head Coach at the 2024 Point O'Woods Women's Collegiate earlier this season.
