CHICAGO (Sept. 20, 2024) – The UIC men's soccer team (4-3, 0-0 MVC) rounds out its three-match home stand Saturday, and opens Missouri Valley Conference play as it welcomes Missouri State (4-2, 1-0 MVC) to Flames Field for the final time with the Bears as members of the MVC. UIC will be the final team in the conference to play their first MVC contest, as the Flames' bye week fell in the first week of the season.

FLAMES FACTS
UIC enters conference play with tremendous amounts of momentum, winners of their last three matches without surrendering a goal to the opposition in that time. Two of UIC's three defeats this season have come at the hands of nationally ranked opponents (Wisconsin and Northwestern).
Rui Reis (Lisbon, Portugal) has emerged as the points leader for the Flames, tallying a goal and two assists in two matches a week ago.

Missouri State holds a 4-0-1 advantage in the all-time series against UIC. The Flames battled to a hard-fought 0-0 draw in Springfield, Mo. on Oct. 8. of last season.
