CHICAGO (Sept. 26, 2024) – The final slate of games for the 2024-25 UIC women's basketball schedule was announced by the Missouri Valley Conference Thursday, as the league announced its 20-game schedules for its 12 competitors. Thursday's announcement comes just two weeks after the non-conference schedule was released.

Every member of the MVC is set to compete in 10 home games and 10 away games, facing nine schools at home and on the road. The Flames will also take on Missouri State (Dec. 29) at home and Southern Illinois (Feb. 16) on the road in "single play," match ups.

"We are excited about our third year of competing in the Missouri Valley Conference with a veteran roster," head coach Ashleen Bracey said. "The Valley is a highly competitive league that is filled with skill, talent, and high-level coaches. Our first five games of conference play are against last year's top five teams. Our non-conference schedule was built to prepare us for the rigor of Valley play and we are anxious to embrace a competitive conference season."

The full 2024-25 UIC women's basketball schedule can be found here. Comprehensive tip-off times and broadcast information will be released at a later date.

UIC is coming off a second successful season under the leadership of Bracey. The Flames are coming off an 18-16 season in 2023-24, leading to the program's second consecutive postseason tournament berth with a WNIT bid (first appearance since 2007). Entering her third season with the Flames, Bracey has led the team to back-to-back top seven finishes in The Valley.

Some of the many highlights of the 2024-25 schedule include:

  • Barring a potential playoff match-up, the Flames MVC opener at home against Missouri State will be the final time the teams will face-off against each other as members of the Missouri Valley Conference. The Bears are set to depart from the Valley after this academic year.
  • The Flames aim to avenge their conference tournament exit after a 65-60 defeat to Belmont in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament a season ago when they face off against Belmont at the Curb Event Center in Nashville, Tenn. on Jan. 10.
  • After a lengthy time spent out on the road for most of the month of January, four of the seven games in February will be home at Credit Union 1 Arena.
  • The Flames went 8-5 at Credit Union 1 Arena a season ago, collecting wins against Bradley, Evansville, Indiana State and Missouri State in conference play.
  • The Flames home finale on March 8 will also be Senior Night for the Flames. UIC is slated to face off against Drake.
  • Postseason begins March 13-16 with UIC traveling to Evansville, Ind. to compete at the Ford Center in the 2025 MVC Women's Basketball Championship.

All UIC home games are played at the Flames' historic Credit Union 1 Arena, and fans can learn more about purchasing season tickets and securing access to the spacious and elite Courtside Club by contacting the UIC Athletics Ticket Office (312.413.UIC1; athleticsticketing@uic.edu).
