CHICAGO- The UIC volleyball team (9-7, 3-3 MVC) enters its fourth week of Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend, hosting Murray State (3-12, 1-5 MVC) on Friday at 6 p.m. (CT) before wrapping up the weekend Saturday against Belmont (13-4, 4-2 MVC) at 5 p.m. at Credit Union 1 Arena.

SCOUTING MURRAY STATE
- The Racers lead the all-time series, 4-3, though UIC has won three of the past four meetings since joining the MVC.
- Murray State secured their first conference win this season with a five-set win against Illinois State (8-10, 3-3 MVC) at home last Saturday. Senior Ella Vogel led the attack with 21 kills.
- Federica Nuccio adds another strong presence on the Racers', ranking second-most kills on the team with 119.
SCOUTING BELMONT
- This marks the sixth meeting between the two programs, with UIC aiming to extend its win streak to five straight against the Bruins.
- Belmont has been on a tear in recent weeks, going 3-1 in its last four conference matches, earning wins over Evansville (5-13, 1-5 MVC), Indiana State (9-9, 3-3 MVC), and Southern Illinois (8-11, 2-4 MVC).
- The Bruins boast a .266 team hitting percentage, ranking 35th nationally among NCAA Division I programs.
LAST MATCH RECAP – AT SOUTHERN ILLINOIS
- The Flames earned a straight-set victory at Southern Illinois in their lone road match last weekend.
- Senior Ayat Amin led the attack with 13 kills. She finished the week with 28 total kills, averaging 4.67 kills per set.
- Senior Juliet Sandez recorded eight kills on a .727 hitting percentage.
- Senior setter Francesca Venturini tallied 20 assists in the win, hitting 2,000 career assists in her collegiate career.
- Junior libero Hannah Howard reached a milestone of her own, surpassing 1,000 career digs after posting seven against the Salukis.
