CHICAGO – The UIC Volleyball team (15-9, 9-5 MVC) returns home for the final time in the Missouri Valley Conference regular season, hosting Bradley (13-13, 7-7 MVC) and Illinois State (12-14, 7-7 MVC). First serve is set for 6 p.m. (CT) on Friday and 5 p.m. (CT) on Saturday from Credit Union 1 Arena.

SCOUTING BRADLEY

- Friday will be the 35th all-time meeting between the Flames and Braves, with UIC leading this series, 23-11. The Flames have won 13 straight contests, including a sweep in Peoria earlier this season.
- In their most recent contest, the Flames put on a show with senior Julieta Sandez and junior Gabi Peter combined for 18 kills on the day.
- The Braves are coming off a great weekend, going 2-0, sweeping Indiana State (9-17, 3-11 MVC) and beating Evansville Purple Aces (6-20, 2-12 MVC) 3-1.
- Freshman Gracie Furlong held firm for the Braves, stacking up nine kills and six digs. She's currently second in points (310.5), points per set (3.07), kills (288), and kills per set (2.85).

SCOUTING ILLINOIS STATE

- Â Saturday will be their 20th meeting all-time between the Flames and Redbirds, with Illinois State leading the series, 14-5. UIC has been the more dominant side recently, with four of its five wins coming in the last three seasons.
- In their most recent contest at CEFCU Arena, senior Ayat Amin and sophomore Antonie Kelnárová went to work, combining for 20 kills and six blocks.
- The Redbirds were coming off a two-game win streak and added two more with sweeps over Evansville and Indiana State at home.
- ISU carries five different 200+ point scorers on the season, including sophomore Khenedi Guest, who leads the team in kills (201), and senior Aida Shadewald, who leads the team in points per set (3.45).

LAST WEEKEND RECAP - at Northern Iowa/Drake

- Â UIC was left empty-handed in Iowa as Northern Iowa and Drake went the distance and pulled off five-set victories versus the Flames.
- Senior Cleo Lorenzo stole the show this weekend with 34 kills, two service aces, and 24 digs. She averaged 3.80 points per set, the most out of anyone on the Flames this weekend.
- Sophomore Hannah Ditsworth showed her prowess at the net, making 23 blocks and allowing the Flames to capitalize and force five sets in both matches. Against the Bulldogs Saturday, Ditsworth recorded 14 blocks, a career-high and her second double-digit block performance of the season.
- UIC still has the opportunity to host an MVC matchup with wins this weekend to retain its top 4 seeding in the MVC.
