MUNCIE, Ind. – The UIC women's basketball team (2-3, 0-0 MVC) are set to embark on a five-game road trip beginning Monday night, when they face-off against Ball State (5-0, 0-0 MAC) at the Worthen Arena for a 5:30 p.m. (CT) tip-off.

SCOUTING BALL STATE
- This will be just the eighth match-up between the Flames and the Cardinals. UIC is looking for its first win since Dec. 1999, with Ball State leading the overall series, 5-2.
- The Cardinals have rolled on early in the season, having yet seen defeat this season. Their most recent win came against Cincinnati (1-4, 0-0 Big 12) Thursday night at Worthen Arena, 83-63. Senior Bree Salenbien led the way for the Cardinals, registering a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
- Ball State maintains a physical presence on the glass, leading the entire NCAA DI in defensive rebounds per game (36.2). Salenbien leads the charge in rebounding, averaging 10.8 per game.
- Not shy in her perimeter shooting, sophomore Grace Kingery leads the Cardinals in three-pointers (14) including six in the 83-59 victory on the road against Memphis (3-3, 0-0 AAC) on Nov. 15.
LAST GAME RECAP – VS. LOYOLA
- UIC closed out its three-game homestand with a 68–54 win over Loyola (1–5, 0–0 A-10) at Credit Union 1 Arena.
- Redshirt Sophomore Julia Coleman led the Flames with 16 points and 10 rebounds, securing her second double-double of the season. She's averaging 12.6 points per game, ranking 18th in the Missouri Valley Conference.
- Graduate student Sara Zabrecky hit four three-pointers in the victory, finishing with 12 points. She now has 100 career triples since joining UIC in the 2022-23 season.
- Graduate student Jessica Carrothers added 12 points and a game-high six assists. She is the fourth MVC player to reach 20-plus assists this season and is averaging 4.0 assists per game.
