CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team closed out its fall campaign with a strong showing at the NIU Huskies Indoor Invitational this past weekend. The Flames impressed across the board, earning five finalists and three champions out of four singles flights.
Sophomore
Marta Halbersztadt claimed the Flight 1 Singles title, defeating the top player from NIU. In Flight 4, freshman
Joanne Hartono and sophomore
Stela Vlaisavljevic advanced to the final and were named Co-Champions. Senior
Anaïs Brion and
Paula Rodriguez also reached their respective flight finals, rounding out an outstanding weekend for the Flames.

"We have been really intentional with our fall training and development process. I was excited for our team to make big progress this week in performance. The strong finish shows the work we put in, and we are excited to continue to push through the fall training block."
