SCOUTING OHIO
- Friday's matchup will mark the third ever matchup between the Flames and Bobcats. UIC holds a 2-0 advantage as their last time out was dominance across the court, taking down Ohio 91-45 last December.
- In the Bobcats most recent matchup versus Davidson, redshirt sophomore Bella Ranallo led the team with 15 points, six rebounds, and three three-pointers.
- Leading the way in scoring for Ohio is graduate student Aliah McWhorter. Averaging 13.2 points per game, the guard has scored in double figures in each of the past five games.
- Finishing 6-23 last season, the Bobcats look to continue to climb the ladder with conference play looming into the new year.
LAST GAME RECAP – VS IONA
- UIC was one good possession away from walking away as the 2025 Iona Turkey Tip-Off champions, falling in the final seconds to Iona (5-2, 0-0 MAAC) Saturday afternoon, 52-50.
- The Flames opened the first quarter strong, leading 17-15, knocking down two triples and going 46.7% from the field.
- The Flames tallied their highest three-point percentage all season, hitting 55.6% (5-9) against the Gaels.
- Sophomore TuTu Clayton led the team in scoring with 11, shooting 40% from the field and two for four at the free throw line.
- Redshirt freshman Magdalena Winter added another 10 points and five boards to the total, being one of the most efficient players on the court on Saturday. Alongside redshirt-junior Julia Coleman, Winter was named to the 2025 Iona Turkey Tip-Off All-Tournament Team.
- The Berlin, Germany native later earned Freshman of the Week honors, after finishing the week averaging 8.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists over the past three games.
