DES MOINES, Iowa (Feb. 19, 2025) — Graduate student guard Tyem Freeman (Springfield, Mo./Hillcrest/UCF/Kent State) scored a team-high 15 points, knocking down 4-of-5 three-pointers, and shared the team lead with six rebounds, but UIC (15-12, 8-9 MVC) was unable to dig itself out of an early hole, falling at Missouri Valley Conference leader Drake, 74-57 on Wednesday night at the Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

For the second consecutive game, redshirt senior forward Modestas Kancleris (Kaunas, Lithuania/Varpas Gimnazija/Creighton/Cal State Bakersfield) scored a season-high 13 points while matching Freeman's six-rebound night. Sophomore guard Ahmad Henderson II (Chicago, Ill./Brother Rice/Niagara) also scored in double figures on Wednesday, finishing with 12 points.
