The Flames fell to the Racers 4-3 in their MVC opener

CHICAGO - In a closely contested home match, the UIC women's tennis team (8-4, 0-1) battled valiantly but ultimately fell short to Murray State (7-6, 1-0) in its Missouri Valley Conference opener, falling to the Racers by a 4-3 score. Thursday afternoon's match was a true test of endurance and strategy, as both teams exchanged fiercely competitive sets. Despite the Flames' strong showing in singles, they were unable to capture the crucial doubles point—a setback that ultimately proved decisive in the outcome.
