CHICAGO — The stage is set. The UIC women's tennis team (17-4) is gearing up for a thrilling first-round showdown against nationally ranked Notre Dame (20-5) in the 2025 NCAA Women's Tennis Team Championship. The match is set for Friday, May 2 at 9 a.m. CT in Columbus, Ohio.

Notre Dame enters the matchup with one of the top rosters in the country, featuring several highly ranked singles and doubles players who've made noise on the national scene all season. It will be a major test for the Flames but one they're ready to take on head-first.

UIC comes in with serious momentum after capturing the Missouri Valley Conference title last weekend in dominant fashion, sweeping top-seeded Murray State 4-0. The Flames are playing some of their best tennis of the year and enter the NCAA Tournament with confidence, chemistry, and nothing to lose.
