CHICAGO – For the sixth consecutive year in a row, the UIC volleyball team was awarded the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT!

This award was given out to over 1,450 different programs that maintained a year-long GPA of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale. The Flames maintained a 3.52 GPA throughout the entirety of the 2024-25 academic year.

The Flames are coming off a 23-10 this past Fall, going 13-5 against Missouri Valley Conference opponents and sporting a 9-2 record in front of a home crowd at Credit Union 1 Arena. UIC made a push in conference tournament play, making its way into the 2024 MVC Volleyball Championship match in just their third season in The Valley.
