Swimming and Diving Honored as a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Associations of America Scholar All-America Team for the Spring Semester

Molly Kroeger and Kerry-Leigh Morrison were honored individually as Spring Second Team Scholar All-America recipients.

CHICAGO – For the 12 consecutive semester, UIC swimming and diving was honored for its collective success in the classroom, being named as one of the 432 institutions to be selected as a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American Team for Spring 2025 after the team collectively garnered a 3.52 GPA.

"I am so proud of our men's and women's teams being named once again CSCAA Scholar All American," head coach Ashley Dell said. "To achieve this honor a dozen consecutive semesters is an incredible accomplishment and show how much they prioritize academics while also excelling in the pool."

To be considered, programs need to maintain a 3.0 GPA in the semester.

Kerry-Leigh Morrison and Molly Kroeger named Spring Second Team Scholar All-Americans

The CSCAA also announced it's Scholar All-American Teams Thursday afternoon. Among the members named to the Second Team were senior Kerry-Leigh Morrison and junior Molly Kroeger.

"A big congrats to Kerry-Leigh and Molly for earning Scholar All-American Second Team honors," Dell said. "Molly is the first swimmer in several years to have earned this and Kerry-Leigh has now achieved it in back-to-back years. Way to go Flames!"
To qualify for Second Team honors, a student-athlete must have received a 3.50 GPA  in the Spring and have a "B," time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.

Kroeger is coming off a stellar sophomore campaign, collecting an NCAA B cut enroute to winning the Missouri Valley Conference championship in the 500 freestyle in a time of 4:47.20, breaking a school record. She finished her season at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship this past March, collecting a pair of 13th-place finishes in the 1,000 (10:08.41) and 1,650 freestyle (16:47.69) events. Kroeger maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout the 2024-25 season, studying Biomedical Engineering.

Morrison had a strong showing her junior year, winning nine individual diving events before placing third on the one-meter (261.90 points) and fourth on the three-meter (281.40 points) to earn MVC All-Conference First Team at the conference meet. In her third consecutive appearance at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, making it in the quarterfinals of each diving event. Morrison kept a 3.60 GPA in the Spring, majoring in Statistics.
