CHICAGO– The UIC men's tennis team continued its fall season at the 2025 Milwaukee Tennis Classic this past weekend, competing against some of the toughest competition the Midwest has to offer to gain some crucial experience.

On the final day, sophomore Simon Knezevic secured a key singles victory over Wisconsin's Collin Beduh. In doubles, the pairing of sophomore Eldin Nokic and junior Mihailo Savic earned a big win against Indiana to advance to the semifinals.

"We had a great tournament with tough competition every day, and I am very pleased with how we competed and kept improving as the event went on. Simon Knezevic especially had a strong showing, winning a couple of close matches against very good opponents."

• The Flames will return to competition Oct. 16-20 at the ITA Midwest Regional, hosted by UIC's fellow Chicagoland school, DePaul University.
