CHICAGO - The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Preseason Women's Tennis Poll has been released and the defending conference champion Flames have been selected to finish second, behind only Murray State.
UIC received a total of 55 points and one first place vote while Murray State received 63 points and took all 7 other first place votes. Belmont and Illinois State round out the top 4 with 44 and 43 points.

The Flames look to build off a conference title from the 2025 season. Following a strong fall 2025 season that saw Freshman Joanne Hartano break onto the scene in her first taste of collegiate tennis. Hartano won the Flight 7 singles title at Illinois State, and won her only singles and doubles matches at the Chicago Cup last October.
UIC opens the 2026 season on Sunday, January 26th in Evanston against Northwestern. Events are set to begin at 10:00 AM.
