CHICAGO – The UIC swimming and diving programs will be heading down state to face Eastern Illinois on Friday at 4 p.m. (CT) for its fourth consecutive road meet to start 2026 and the fifth straight overall. The women's team enters the meet having won six straight dual meets.

FLAMES FACTS - EASTERN ILLINOIS
- This will be the 13th all-time meeting between the Flames and Panthers with the men winning 11 and the women winning 10. They last met on Jan. 10, 2025, with the women winning 186-70 and the men winning 168-90.
- In their last meeting, the Flames swept the backstroke events, winning both the 100 and 200 with senior Bella Drake winning both for the women, and sophomore Patton Shaar winning both for the men.

DUAL MEET RECAP - UCHICAGO
- The women's team defeated UChicago 194-105 while the men fell short 142-156.
- Senior Madison Helmick won four events, tallying wins in the 50 freestyle (23.87), 100 freestyle (51.16), 200 freestyle (1:48.72) and 400 freestyle relay (3:28.73). On the diving board, senior Kerry-Leigh Morrison placed second in both the three-meter diving event (274.13) and one-meter (275.63).
- Freshman Noah Pelinkovic won the 1000 freestyle (9:25.94) and 500 freestyle (4:32.56), earning Missouri Valley Conference Men's Freshman Swimmer of the Week for his efforts. Senior Bruno Carrillo won the three-meter diving event (324.60), achieving an NCAA Zone C Cut qualifying score.
