PEORIA, Ill. — Sophomore libero Ava Young scooped up a career-high 30 digs, the most by a UIC player since Oct. 2021 (Jaclyn Oblena - 32 at Wright State), to highlight a game defensive effort from the Flames, but it wasn't enough as UIC fell on the road at Bradley, 3-1 (17-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-20) at Renaissance Coliseum in Peoria, Ill.Â
Senior outside hitter Gabi Peter had a team-high 16 kills, while senior outside hitter Tamara Kisic posted her fourth double-double of the season (12 kills/16 digs) and senior setter Mihaela Harizanova added her second double-double of the campaign (21 assists/10 digs) for the Flames (10-16, 6-8 MVC).
UIC used a 15-3 run to end the first set and take the early lead, but Bradley (14-12, 9-5) came back to take the next three stanzas, fueled in part by a wicked service game that produced 11 aces.
