CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team went 1-1 on the road this weekend. On Saturday afternoon the Flames defeated IU Indy in 4-3. UIC was led by Sophomore Eldin Nokic and Junior Artem Alekseychuk who both won at doubles and singles to propel the Flames to a victory.
On Sunday UIC traveled to Champaign to take on Illinois. The Illini won the match 6-1, but Nokic continued to impress as he defeated Illinois' Hayden Jones 6-1, 6-2. Jones was a top 10 ranked junior in the world and competed in the 2025 Australian Open.
The Flames are back in action Saturday against another Big 10 foe as they take on Northwestern in Evanston.
