CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team lost on Saturday to Western Michigan 6-1. Western Michigan jumped out to a strong start winning the doubles point, though the Flames were ahead 5-3 at No. 1 doubles before the match was called because the Broncos had clinched the point.
On the singles side, UIC got off to a strong start when Artem Alekseychuk won 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles before the Broncos responded winning the other six singles matches. UIC is now 6-7. The Flames will have a couple days off before resuming match play on Thursday at 12:00 PM inside XS Tennis Village against Toledo.
