CHICAGO - The UIC women's tennis team defeated Holy Cross (Ind.) on Wednesday afternoon in their first match since March 8th. This match served as the Flames last taste of competition before Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) play kicks off this weekend. The Flames improved to 7-6 with their 7-0 victory.

The Flames were led by Edit Cosmo and Anais Brion who both won their singles matches in convincing fashion. UIC is back in action this weekend with a pair of conference matches against Bradley and Illinois State.
