ATLANTA – The UIC swimming and diving program saw history made when senior
Harrison Nolan competed in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, becoming the first athlete from the program to compete in the event. Nolan competed in the three-meter event, in the preliminary round, Nolan scored a total of 314.40 points on six dives, placing him in the top-40 in the country placing 38th out of 51 competitors at the National Championship Meet.
"Wow! What a way to end the season! Since Harrison arrived at UIC, he has always had the goal to compete in the NCAA Championships and to top it off to know that he is now one of the top 40 divers in the country at this level is fantastic!" Associate Head Coach/Head Diving Coach
Susan Bromberg said. "I am so proud of him and everything that he has accomplished and achieved so far in his career. His dedication, determination, work ethic, and belief in himself and what he is capable of is amazing."
Nolan's 38th place finish at the National Championships is the best individual finish in program history, as Nolan adds to his impressive list of accolades and school records.
