CHICAGO – For the final time of 2026 Missouri Valley Conference play, the UIC women's basketball team will battle it out at Credit Union 1 Arena, facing-off against Belmont (19-11, 15-4 MVC) in a 2 p.m. (CT) tip-off.

SCOUTING BELMONT
- Entering the eighth match-up between the programs, the Flames are in search of their victory against the Bruins since joining the MVC in 2022.
- In their last meeting, the Flames fell short on the road at the Curb Event Center, 71-56 on Feb. 15. Senior Jessica Carrothers led all scorers with 24 points, five assists and four rebounds.
- The Bruins collected their third consecutive conference victory Thursday night with a win on the road against Valparaiso (0-30, 0-19 MVC), 83-63. Five Bruin's scored in double figures, with graduate student Avery Strickland leading the way with 19 points, and six rebounds.
- Graduate student Tuti Jones continues to be a problem defensively, averaging a conference-leading 3.1 steals per game, with 93 steals throughout the season.
LAST GAME RECAP – VS. MURRAY STATE
- In a game that was once again decided in the closing seconds, the UIC women's basketball team (14-16, 9-10 MVC) dropped a heartbreaker in front of the home crowd to Murray State (27-3, 18-1 MVC) Thursday night, 78-76.
- Redshirt sophomore Julia Coleman led UIC with a career-high 32 points on 15-for-20 shooting (75 FG%) and grabbed six rebounds.
- Carrothers secured her first double-double of the season, with 27 points and 10 assists.
- Senior Amelia Strong scored 11 points and had four rebounds in the contest.
