Womens Tennis Aims to Clinch MVC Regular Season Title this Weekend

Flames face off with UNI on Saturday & Drake on Sunday

CHICAGO - The UIC women's tennis (12-6, 5-0 MVC) team takes the court for their final two regular season matches this weekend. The Flames will host Northern Iowa (2-14, 0-5 MVC) on Saturday and Drake (8-10, 3-2 MVC) on Sunday for Senior Day where Seniors Paula Rodriguez Gregoris and Anais Brion will be honored before the match. Entering match play with a 5-0 conference record, the Flames will have an opportunity to clinch a Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) regular season title with a win this weekend. 

Last time out the Flames completed a 2-0 road trip when they defeated Belmont and Murray State. Multiple Flames had strong weekends as Marta Halbersztadt led the Flames with a 2-0 record at singles including the clinching point against Murray State. Senior Anais Brion also went 2-0 to continue her undefeated start in MVC singles play.
