Women’s Tennis Places Two on MVC Scholar-Athlete Team

Edit Cosmo and Marta Halbersztadt are the Flames representatives.

ST. LOUIS – Sophomores Edit Cosmo and Marta Halbersztadt were named to the Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete Team the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) announced on Tuesday Morning.
 
To qualify for the MVC's Scholar Athlete Team, an athlete must be a sophomore academically and athletically while meeting the following criteria: a 3.5 cumulative GPA and in the lineup for at least 50 percent of an institution's days of competition.
 
Cosmo maintains a 4.0 GPA as a math and computer science major while Halbersztadt has a 3.91 GPA as a mathematics major. Both athletes were successful in both the classroom and on the courts, going 7-0 against the conference this regular season as a team. Cosmo primarily competed as the Flames No. 1 singles player with Halbersztadt playing as the No. 2 singles player.
