CHICAGO (Sept. 10, 2026) – Following a successful inaugural season featuring UIC Athletics events, Marquee Sports Network and UIC Athletics have expanded their broadcast partnership for the 2026-27 academic year, with the Chicago-based regional sports network (RSN) set to carry 10 Flames contests across five sports.
Â
The expanded agreement will bring UIC Athletics to viewers across Marquee Sports Network's six-state Midwest footprint, providing additional exposure for the Flames' student-athletes and programs while connecting UIC with an even broader audience throughout the region.
Â
"We are excited to build on the momentum of our partnership with Marquee Sports Network and bring even more Flames athletics to fans throughout Chicago and the Midwest," said UIC Director of Athletics Andrea Williams. "Expanding our broadcast presence is an important part of elevating the UIC Athletics brand and showcasing the accomplishments of our student-athletes and coaches on a larger stage. We are proud to partner with a network that shares our commitment to this city and the passionate sports fans who call it home."
Â
The first two of the 10 games included in this year's UIC-Marquee Sports Network package have been determined:
Â
- Sept. 12 (6 p.m. CT) – Volleyball vs. Central Michigan, Credit Union 1 Arena
- Oct. 22 (6 p.m. CT) – Volleyball vs. Valparaiso, Credit Union 1 Arena
The remaining eight UIC contests to be televised on Marquee Sports Network during the 2026-27 academic year will include two men's basketball games, two women's basketball games, two baseball games and two softball games. The specific contests will be determined once the complete schedules for each sport, including Missouri Valley Conference competition, have been finalized.
Â
All 10 Flames contests featured on Marquee Sports Network will be produced by UIC Athletics through its broadcasting unit, led by Associate Athletics Director for Brand Strategy & Broadcasting
Phil Bergman.
