CHICAGO – The UIC volleyball team (4-8, 0-0 MVC) closed out non-conference action, taking on the DePaul Blue Demons (8-3, 0-0 BIG EAST). After a fast-paced opening set and a late third-set push by UIC, the Flames would fall to the Blue Demons in straight sets at McGrath-Phillips Arena, dropping the final match of the Chicago Cup.
The trio of
Elizabeth King,
Francesca Loreenzo, and
Robyn Ward led the Flames offensively with eight kills apiece.
Gabi Peter was right behind them with seven kills throughout the contest.
Judy Asar notched 22 assists and two service aces. King ended the night with 22 total attacks.
