2008: Appeared in 18 matches, getting the starting nod seven times...scored three goals...tallied first goal in a Flames kit against Alabama A&M on Sept. 7...struck for goals in back-to-back league matches, scoring against Cleveland State on Sept. 26 and Detroit on Sept. 28.

Prior to UIC: Played two seasons for the University of Illinois at Springfield...guided the Prairie Stars to a regional appearance in 2007...garnered academic all-conference honors...Dean[apos]s List student at UIS.

Prep/Personal: Four-year letterwinner for Athens High School in Athens, Ill....2005 All-Sangamo Conference selection...also earned all-sectional accolades in 2005...led the Warriors to a Carlinville Tournament title and a regional championship as a senior...helped Athens set a school record for wins and place second in the Sangamo standings...set school records in most career goals (58) and assists (29)...academic all-state nominee...four-time Lutheran High All-Tournament Team pick...named to Carlinville All-Tournament Team on two occasions...NHSCAA All-Star Team selection...played at he club level for the Springfield Area Soccer Association Premier for nine years under coaches George Jaccoway, Justin Stone, Chad Jones and Renee Tropa...helped the Premier four S.A.S.A. Tournament titles and three Rainbow Classic crowns...also part of a Best of the Midwest Tournament titlist and six other tournament championships...named the club[apos]s Most Valuable Player while leading the Premier in goals...also lettered three years as a guard for the Athens basketball team...born January 18, 1988...son of Phil and Julia Ramirez...majoring in liberal arts and sciences.
