2009: Played in 15 matches and got the start in 12...garnered two points off two assists on the season...booted the free kick that connected with Phillip Mitchell for the game-winning goal in UIC[apos]s 1-0 defeat over Ohio State on Oct. 14...added his second helper the following game on Ivan Stanisavljevic[apos]s game-winner against Milwaukee, 1-0, on Oct. 17...was a part of the backline credited with eight clean sheets.

2008: Missed the entire season due to a foot injury...received a medical redshirt, retaining one year of eligibility.

2007: One of just two players to start in all 25 of UIC[apos]s matches...recorded a single-season best seven points with two goals and three assists...scored the equalizer in the second half of the NCAA quarterfinal contest at UMass on Dec. 9...tabbed a pair of assists in UIC[apos]s Horizon League Tournament title game win over Green Bay on Nov. 18...scored his first goal in a UIC kit and tallied an assist at Florida Gulf Coast on Sept. 23...member of UIC backline that recorded a school record 14 shutouts and finished tops in the Horizon League and 10th in the nation in goals-against average (0.60).

2006: All-Horizon League Newcomer Team honoree...appeared in 20 matches...part of the nation[apos]s top-rated defense, which surrendered just eight goals on the year for an NCAA-best 0.36 GAA and turned in a school-record 13 shutouts...tallied three points on the year with a trio of assists...tabbed the assist on Eric Cervantes[apos] game-winning goal in the 90th minute at then-No. 7 UC-Santa Barbara on Sept. 8...credited with the assist on the game-winning goal sent in by Tonci Skroce in the Flames[apos] victory at then-No. 25 Saint Louis on Aug. 26...served in the corner kick that was re-directed into the back of the net by Cesar Zambrano for UIC[apos]s first goal in its NCAA Tournament win over Western Illinois on Nov. 11.

Prior to UIC: Played one season at 2005 NCAA College Cup runner-up New Mexico...appeared in seven matches, starting two for the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation champion Lobos.

Prep/Personal: Lettered as a midfielder on the varsity soccer team during his freshman and sophomore years at Burlington Central...earned all-conference and all-area accolades both seasons...played on the club level for Sockers FC Chicago under coach Save Richardson for four years...member of the Sockers Top Talent program as a junior and senior...won seven state championships while with Sockers FC...also part of a Jefferson Cup title-winning team (2004) and a Dallas Cup Super Group championship (2005)...played on the Illinois State Select ODP team from 2000-2004...born December 14, 1986...son of Kenneth and Debbie Peterson...majoring in industrial design.
