2006: All-Horizon League First Team honoree...team co-captain who started all 21 matches for the Flames as a defender...backbone of the nation[apos]s top-rated defense, which surrendered just eight goals on the year (0.36 GAA) and posted a school-record 13 shutouts...tallied an assist on UIC[apos]s final goal in a 3-0 win over UMKC on Sept. 1...earned NSCAA/adidas Men[apos]s Scholar All-North/Central Region Team recognition...took 12 shots on the year...finished his career with a 57-match consecutive starts streak...named to Top Drawer Soccer College Team of the Week on Sept. 11 for performances against then-No. 7 UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly.
2005: Started all 17 of UIC[apos]s matches...took four shots...captained a defense that posted five shutouts and allowed a paltry 1.18 goals against average.
2004: Started all 19 matches...scored two goals and tacked on an assist for five points...attempted 16 shots, five against goal...posted his only assist on a Tonci Skroce score against Jacksonville on Sept. 12th...notched a clutch late goal off a nifty header that brought the Flames within striking distance in their road match at Butler on Oct. 3rd...sent a rocket shot into the net in the ninth minute of UIC[apos]s 3-1 league victory over the Phoenix.
2003: Played in 16 games, starting in thirteen of those contests...chipped in two goals, one assist and five total points as a rookie defender...scored the first goal of his career on Sept. 14th, posting the first of the Flames[apos] four unanswered goals in a 4-3 overtime win over Gonzaga...assisted on Nate Day[apos]s goal in UIC[apos]s 4-0 rout of Northern Illinois on Oct. 8th for his first collegiate helper...added an unassisted insurance goal in the Flames[apos] 3-1 win over Detroit..
2002: Played in four games before redshirting the remainder of the season due to injury.
Prep/Personal: Three-year letterwinner at Batavia High School in Batavia, Ill...helped lead the Bulldogs to no less than 17 wins in each of his three seasons as a varsity competitor...led his team in scoring as a senior, tallying 22 goals and 15 assists en route to all-state, all-area and all-conference recognition...finished his prep tenure with 51 career goals and 41 assists...off the field was a National Honor Society member and the President of Batavia[apos]s Student Athletic Board...played briefly with the Chicago Fire in the 2007 preseason following his collegiate career...son of Wayne and Konnie Kosek...born September 27, 1983...majored in elementary education
