Prior To UIC: Competed for Wabash Valley Junior College...batted .325 with four homers and 39 RBI as a sophomore...led the squad with six triples and was hit 19 times...batted .370 as a freshman with seven homers and 25 RBI...was plunked 24 times during his rookie season...was named to the All-Conference team as a sophomore...helped the Warriors to 43 wins as a sophomore.
